These types of foundations have reinforcement steel and are complemented with concrete. They are formed using wooden forms. Once the concrete has been cured the wooden forms are removed.

Salt finish is an inexpensive and a more traditional way to finish concrete. Salt finish is most popular in nonfreezing regions of the country. It is usually installed using rock salt which is spread around and pressed into the concrete using a roller. The salt does not dissolve into the concrete so after the concrete has been cured, the salt can be removed using a pressure washer or a brush. After this has been done, the salt crystals leave irregular dimples in the concrete creating a texture.
